The Role:
Provides technical strategic leadership, in depth technical knowledge and guidance, to support and ensure achievement of business objectives and technical development, delivering on time and within budget

Specific Information:
- Map current Technology landscape from logistics, manufacturing, Quality, SI
- Data connectivity & delivery and helping Digital TM with MES strategy and architecture proposal and working side SI with developing MES
- Develop AI System using existing data / new data sources for efficiency tracking within manufacturing
- Create Tableau Dashboards for KPI Measurements
- Create methodology for developing/creating AI System for self-learning analytics within Bentley planning
- Create Data Science working document for training across the business (Manufacturing leader for Tableau training)
- Design ShopFloor dashboards concept (QSCDP)/ Monitoring System for SFIT Equipment
- Out-systems development (Low code applications) - Main support business

Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for deliverables to a specified timeframe, quality and cost.
a. Ability to demonstrate deliverables status at any time with Key Performance Indicators.
b. Manage workload on a daily basis and respond to both long term and short term task requests.
c. Responsible for leading prompt concern resolution on existing processes, the coordination of resource, and ability to provide containment solutions when necessary.
d. Manage any outsourced work in the same technical area, including supplier management.
e. Manage budgetary requirements to meet KPI objectives

2. Developing and maintaining specialist technical and business knowledge and capability, to ensure appropriate technical direction is provided.
a. Propose process and method improvements to develop departmental capability.
b. Ability to lead on technical direction working with other departments/ functions.
c. Provide technical direction to other areas of the business.
d. Provide technical input into concepts for future development.
e. Committed to own continuous professional development.

3. Accountable for developing and influencing the strategic technical direction within specialist area
a. Demonstrate a broad awareness of process and operational requirements within the area.
b. Responsible for the delivery of technical targets
c. Support and provide technical knowhow.
d. Advise management of strategic opportunities in areas of technical expertise.
e. Develop and gain agreement for the strategic technical direction/Technical Roadmaps within specialist area.
f. Keep up to date with industry innovations and relevant Group technical roadmap deployment.

4. Maintain effective communication internally and within VW Group.
a. Responsibility to ensure factual and effective communication is provided at all levels, including within all cross-functional working teams.
b. Participation and effective representation of function/Company in appropriate technical meetings.
c. Responsible for the collation and presentation of relevant data in order to consult and lead functional /cross-functional meetings.
d. Transparent issue escalation to senior management, accountable for identifying and escalating issues and risks to senior management
e. Develop relationships with counterparts in appropriate internal functions and VW organisations, and provide relevant guidance to suppliers.
f. Make recommendations and effective presentations to the business in area of technical specialism, with the ability to explain and break down technical detail/direction.

5. Local Responsibilities
a. Other responsibilities specific to the function/ area (in conjunction with skills matrix/ MBO objectives).

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Appropriate experience working in the Automotive/IT Industry or related industries.
Experience of process in projects and series production.
Strong influencing skills and communication, with a commitment to building positive relationships with other functions, and Group as an outward facing specialist.
Ability to share technical knowledge effectively with others, coach and guide as appropriate.
Demonstrable experience of process improvement activities within the specific technology.
Good business awareness and ability to make and influence strategic decisions within business context.
Understanding and ability to demonstrate behaviours in line with the Bentley People Framework
Has demonstrable knowledge applicable to the technology areas in a relevant discipline.
The cycle plan and competitor products and processes.
A proven knowledge of relevant departmental /Company systems and technical workings
