Senior Data Analyst

Description:

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently looking for an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join a fast paced environment with shifting priorities. This role would suit someone who is able to communicate effectively with stakeholders throughout the business to gather requirements and ensure simple and effective delivery of complex analysis. This will be a fixed term contract of 3-6 months initally, with a view to go permanent.

Working alongside the Data Science & Analytics Manager and the wider analytics team you will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement in both business process and internal analytics processes. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with unstructured system level data and dealing with a combination of "tactical" solutions alongside more strategic long term solutions.

Duties include:

- Daily reporting of the business including looking at ways to improve reports and automation process
- Looking after all high level analytics, insight and KPI generation for the outbound half of the business
- Working closely with key stakeholders to ensure they have the data needed to make data driven decisions
- Being the first point of contact for any and all advanced analytics
- Extract actionable insight from data and support in data led decision making to address those insights
- Working with unstructured data and working in a data warehouse environment
- Engaging with wider data skills like data engineering and data cleaning
- Driving data literacy across the department
- Providing coaching and sharing knowledge and skills with the wider team
- Work directly with senior stakeholders, listening to their needs and ensuring to manage expectations

The suitable candidate will be able to demonstrate the following Key Competencies:

- Experienced in MySQL & SQL server
- Experience in at least one bi solution (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, SSAS, Qlik)
- Great communication skills and stakeholder management
- Strong data storytelling skills
- Solutions focused and forward thinking
- Ideally 2 years+ experience in an analytics / BI role in business
- Problem analysis and problem-solving with a strong aptitude for numbers and data driven - decision making
- Proven ability to work on multiple tasks under pressure and to tight deadlines
