SQL Developer & Data Analyst

This role is working for a dynamic organisation based in Central London. They have a hybrid working pattern set up but in the first few weeks it is expected you will be in the office 3 days per week. You will be tasked with supporting product development and the client service team to understand the data, and provide insight and analysis through clear visual, written and verbal communication.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

* The role will focus mainly on development, analysis, database administration and testing with some client support.

* Using MsSQL on a daily basis, your data responsibilities will include providing day-to-day support of management and maintenance of all manner of data processes within the system, this will include writing stored procedures both for development projects and for use by the client service team, interpreting data, quality control through cleaning and filtering data.

* A significant part of the role will be involve working as part of an agile development team. You will work on projects from inception, including scoping, development, testing and final deployment.

* The role involves liaising with internal and external clients and third party systems to fully understand data content. You will also prepare reports for internal and external audiences.

* Trouble-shooting, answering client queries and data related issues

* You will become a go-to product expert on data processes

* The role includes some second line support for the main helpdesk

Key Skills:

3 years+ data analyst experience with proven experience of working with Relational Databases (e.g. SQL Server) essential, this includes writing queries and stores procedures

Experience in DB design preferred

Experience of working in a web app development team preferred

Critical thinker with outstanding analytical skills, able to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions. Ability to understand the complex business rules behind the data.

Attention to detail, accuracy, ability to prioritise with proven problem solving skills Strong experience of data management and understanding of source data structures

Effective communication skills with the ability to present data and complex ideas in an easy to understand manner
Strong customer service skills essential

Knowledge of the Media Industry an advantage, not essential


Graduate calibre preferably with a Degree in Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science preferred
