Within Mortgages, the Pricing and Performance team is accountable for delivering the Mortgages Commercial plan as well as ensuring we meet our external commitments to lend £10bn to First Time Buyers as part of our Helping Britain Recover commitments. The team is responsible for building compelling analysis, developing comprehensive pricing proposals, and supporting the delivery of new products, propositions and campaigns to the mortgage market.

What you'll be doing..

As a Statistical Analysis Manager you'll lead the statistical modelling of customer behaviour to generate balance curves, which are used for a number of applications including profitability analysis and accounting treatment. You'll also support the team's wider analytical agenda, including the improvement of existing processes, development of new EUC tools and development of data sources.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Lead the development and deployment of mortgage balance curve models, that reflect the underlying drivers impacting customer behaviour
  • Ensure robust governance exists around all tools and processes
  • Work closely with stakeholders and users of the models and their outputs across multiple teams
  • Ensure a proactive approach to enhancing processes
  • Support the wider Pricing & Performance team with analytical input into problem solving

What we'll need...


  • Strong analytical skillset with the ability to think through complex problems
  • Experience dealing with large data sources ideally for Mortgages or retail lending products
  • Advanced technical experience of Excel VBA, SAS, and SQL


  • Able to plan and organise your own workload and use your interpersonal skills to communicate to partners across the division.
  • Numerate background with an understanding of statistical techniques
