George Higginson is supporting a small rare disease CRO on their search for a Statistical Programmer, for their newly formed Statistical Programming department. This position is 100% remote and will consider candidates anywhere in the UK.

You will be working closely within the group of programmers, who is responsible for supporting the Head of Biometrics with setting up the function. This is an opportunity to join a small & expanding organisation with a very exciting rare disease portfolio and an extremely stable pipeline.


* Hands-on statistical programming activities for multiple clinical trials, including analyses for submission to regulatory agencies as well as to support scientific publications and medical affairs.

* Responsible for statistical programming strategy, conduct of analyses, and conformance to principals of GCP as applicable to biostats, stats programming, and data management

* Act as the programming lead and member of clinical study teams for one or more clinical projects

* Provide hands-on work for outsourced trials, including SDTM and ADaM dataset specs and review of TLFs

* Regularly meet with CRO counterparts

* Review eCRFs, annotated CRFs, data management plans, edit check specs, and statistical analysis plans, with a view to ensuring that data required will be collecting, clean and properly analysed


* MSc in Biostatistics, Computer Science, or a related field with several years' experience in the Pharmaceutical industry as a SAS Programmer

* Experience in early phase clinical trials as well as an understanding of clinical pharmacology end points (this is advantageous but not a necessity)

* Experience managing outsourced Stat Programming work

* CDISC knowledge

* Experience as a lead

* Take a hands-on approach
