Sky Sports is inviting applicants for the role of Statistician, working across our portfolio of Football coverage. As a statistician you'll work as part of a high performing and enthusiastic team, responsible for creating world-class content across all formats and platforms.

What you'll do:

  • Create and research content to help drive Sky's football coverage, working alongside the production team, commentators and presenters
  • Work on live broadcasts, collaborating with the production team and talent in an exciting, fast-paced environment
  • Work with multiple data feeds and providers, developing new stats and angles to accompany traditional statistics
  • Produce graphics to be presented as part of Sky's coverage; an eye for detail and accuracy is vital
  • Create content for Sky's social media and online platforms, including the opportunity to write features for skysports.com

What you'll bring:

  • Passion for and in-depth knowledge of football is paramount
  • Strong English Language and written skills, with excellent editorial and creative judgement
  • Ability to work effectively, react quickly and communicate under the pressures of live production
  • A proactive, enthusiastic approach and an ability to think creatively
  • Expertise in using social media platforms
  • Familiarity using Excel and an understanding of modern statistical trends in football is desirable
  • Willing to work flexibly and at unsociable hours, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
