Role overview

An exciting new opportunity has arisen within Matthew Algie to apply for the role of Systems and Data Analyst on a full-time, permanent basis. In your new role, you will be principally involved in the creation of business intelligence reporting to provide insight in data from company systems. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of the company's field sales and training applications & underlying SQL database. You'll assist the IT Team in providing end-user support to local and field-based staff by responding to support requests logged on the IT Helpdesk and taken over the phone. There are some limited on-call requirements to support those covering the out of hours Customer Service function.

Key Responsibilities:

Development of Business Intelligence reporting across all areas of the business in line with business needs, including development in Power BI, Microsoft SQL, Crystal Reports, SSRS & Visual Studio
Ongoing development of Training visit management application () to allow recording of customer audits and training sessions
Play a key role in the data migration to implement Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the business
Development of BI reporting on the Dynamics database based on the reporting needs of the company
Assist the Production Department in troubleshooting issues related to the IT portion of Production plant
Deliver software and system training to company employees as and when required, including but not restricted to MS Office, SharePoint, Office 365, TMS, Colos, Cim Control, Sage, eLeader, Filemaker, Jeffnet, Terminal Services, Metrix & 360.
Provide prioritised internal user support for hardware and software queries as allocated via the IT Help Desk to both LAN, WAN & remote user's using remote control software. Provide support to users on core systems including Power BI, Crystal Reports, Jeffnet, ERP, EDI, Spindle Pro, Office 365, Metrix, 360, D365, eLeader, TomTom, SharePoint, telephone system
Provide on-call telephone support to the weekend office workers and Field Service Engineers, on a rota basis

Experience:

Essential

HND qualified or above in a relevant IT related discipline or relevant work experience
Demonstrable experience working in an SME IT environment.
Experience in the administration of Dynamics 365 or similar ERP
Crystal or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) experience
Strong Microsoft Power BI Experience
Strong SQL query writing skills
SQL Server database administration experience
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
Desirable:

SCADA & PLC systems support
SharePoint/SharePoint Designer/InfoPath experience

Visual Studio (C#)
Experience liaising with 3rd part suppliers/contractors
LAN/WAN Networking experience
EDI systems experience
Windows Deployment Services (WDS) & Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT)
Tom-Tom Webfleet experience
Jeffnet Crystal Server Experience
Field Service and Scheduling systems experience
Finance/MRP/ERP systems experience
EDI systems experience
SQL Server database administration experience
Windows Domain Management (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory)
Office 365 administration experience
