An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Safety, Security and Sustainability department for a Traction and Utilities Data analyst. Although this position is based at Shenfield, you may also be required to attend other GA locations as required.

The Role

The Traction & Utilities Data Analyst will be pivotal to ensure that we are actively monitoring usage and consumption for Energy and water and provide intelligent data and reports so that defects are investigated and opportunities for improvement are addressed immediately.

You will be responsible for monitoring, reporting and correcting EC4T energy data. Your duties will include:

  • Identify and report on-train meter and other EC4T data system issues and work with relevant stakeholders to resolve where necessary
  • Monitor, report and investigate issues with Utility Data (electricity, gas, water)
  • Identify and report AMR, meter and other Utility issues that require resolution
  • Support period report generation and end of year annual review
  • Analyse traction and utilities performance and identify projects and/or opportunities for future savings
  • Support the development of energy reporting tools and processes
  • Support the Sustainability, Track Access, Asset Management and Procurement teams as required with information and analysis
  • Support installations of new utility meters including sub-meters where required

What we are looking for

We are looking for a colleague who is self-motivated and naturally driven to work with accuracy. You will be a good communicator (both written and oral), show initiative, demonstrate analytical skills, and be proficient in MS office.

Good excel and power BI skills will be desirable. A BSc in Sustainability, or Energy, or equivalent will also be desirable.
