Admin/Data Analyst - Worcester

About the Admin/Data Analyst role:

Job Purpose

  • To maximise sales for publishers through effective sales development activity and copy placement (allocation of copy to retailers)
  • To deliver agreed service levels for named publishers
  • Ensure all copy management disciplines are maintained to the standards detailed in the business rules
  • Ensuring full compliance and delivery for all publisher copy management briefs
  • To ensure all work stream activity is completed within agreed timescales
  • To provide the principle interface for named publisher or copy management activity
  • To identify sales opportunities and take relevant action to fully realise potential
  • To maintain agreed publisher relationships

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Linking in with the National Newspaper Office / publisher account teams to provide analysis of data and focused account development
  • Benchmarking No 1 for supply management performance
  • Ensure integrity of all banding / segmentation information
  • Achieve and review performance to publisher / retail targets

About you:


Previous Experience

  • Experience in administration / coordination / data management tasks


  • Ability to use own initiative and show sound judgement
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability in identifying new ways of working and improvements
  • Proven understanding of customer service - internal or external
  • Ability to organise own workload effectively
  • Ability to build relationships within the immediate and wider teams, and external
  • Ability to work as a team in order to ensure deadlines are achieved
  • Ability to plan and prioritise own work
  • Good attention to detail in order to ensure accurate reporting and processing of information

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to remain calm in a pressurised time sensitive situation

  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent - Maths and English Grade C


  • Experience in data analysis
  • Customer service experience
  • Able to manipulate data and trend analysis
  • Microsoft Office - moderate
  • Demonstrates ability to adapt approach to suit a person or situation
  • Ability to influence outside of immediate team
  • Working knowledge of SAP
  • Post GCSE qualification - NVQ, A-level
