Analyst Programmer
Description
Analyst Programmer *****, ETL and Access) - Up to £65,000 + Benefits

Analyst Programmer Urgently Needed for a global business based in Watford, My client is looking for a candidate experianced with .net ETL and Access who will take a lead role in building solutions across our Core Services ensuring that they are fit for purpose, on time and meet acceptable standards to support our European development and expansion priorities. You will be experianced in a similar environment ideally in retail. In return my client are offering a competitive Salary + Benefits

Key Responsibilities

- Creates, reviews and approves Service Transition and Support documentation to ensure a smooth handover on to the production environment
- Supervise new staff as required as part of their training or induction programmer
- Provide occasional SME support
- Produce ad hoc reports where required for IT and Business Management
- Supervise, mentor & coach staff as part of their ongoing training or induction program
- Produce status reports and deputise for line manager
- Manage with both internal and external 3rd parties to ensure the successful and timely build of new or enhanced systems
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with key User personnel, managing expectations as appropriate.
- Work closely with Solutions Architects to understand how the systems interrelate to enable better decision making during development
- Work with Business Analyst to interpret Business Requirements
- Undertake technical analysis, systems design and program specification, development and enhancement of programs with a high level of complexity
- Writes, reviews and approves systems, procedure, program, and database documentation
- Deliver changes within the required timescales ensuring that standards are adhered to
- Perform Unit & System testing of changes with a high level of complexity to ensure a smooth transition to EQA
- Work with the business analyst and EQA to fix issues and work towards user acceptance of the changes

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

- Must be a team player and able to work on own initiative
- Able to handle multiple projects/tasks concurrently and prioritise appropriately
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Specific technical skills will vary depending on the technology stack
- Experienced in .net, ETL and Access
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- 5 yrs in an appropriate development environment, preferably within the retail sector
- Experience of mentoring and coaching others with the ability to deputise in Managers absence
- Ability to interpret financial data and forecasting information and understand the principles of budget management
