Your key responsibilities:

You will support the creation of data driven insights using descriptive and prescriptive analytics. You will be responsible for creating analytics and Insight on key commercial projects and ad-hoc questions to help stakeholders optimise return on investment, improve Sky's competitive position and shape profitable propositions. This role will require the full spectrum of analytics and insights delivery: from the rapid turnaround of current trading insight, to participation in more complex, strategic, multi-disciplinary analytical projects and presentation of insights to senior stakeholders.

- Use a variety of analytical and visualisation techniques (data mining and exploration, etc.) and tools (SQL, Tableau, etc.) to utilise Sky's and 3rd party and industry data platforms to deliver insights and answer business questions
- Conduct end to end delivery of analytical projects including communicating complex analytical approach and insights to non-analytical audience
- Translate business questions and requirements into structured analytical approaches
- Work with colleagues in IDS and stakeholders in other areas of Sky to deliver full spectrum of insight

Your skills:
- A Bachelor degree in an analytical field (e.g. Statistics, Maths, Operational Research, Computer Science) or substantial experience in an analytical role in consulting and / or industry
- Highly proficient and demonstrable experience in SQL, Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables) and Powerpoint
- Demonstrable experience of logical, analytical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong commercial acumen and good communication and presentation skills
- Flexible and adaptable in an environment with continuously changing priorities
- Inquisitive, with an eye for the detail but also able to see the bigger picture beyond the detail and make a judgement to simplify approach towards delivering in a timely manner and an appropriate level of accuracy depending on the type of engagement
- Able to work independently and in virtual teams and to manage with the help of Insight Controller the traffic and pipeline of work whilst working on multiple engagements
