Business Change Analyst - Cardiff
Description
Role: Business Analyst
Rate:£350 - £375 p/day
Location: Cardiff
Contract Length: 6 months

We are urgently seeking a Contract Business Analyst to work within the Change department and help map business processes, identify improvements and draft detailed business requirements that can be implemented to support the business strategy with a large, well respected client of ours in Cardiff, South Wales. This role reports to the Project Lead and is part of the wider Change Team.
We're particularly interested in hearing from you if you have a proven commercial career to date within pure Business Analysis roles, it might not be enough to secure this role if Business Analysis forms only part of your current position,

The main responsibilities include:

• To map as-is' business processes and identify gaps and improvements that can be made (to be' processes)
• To develop and document detailed business requirements for business process changes
• To support in translating business requirements into technical requirements that can be implemented by technical teams
• To develop business cases and project plans for business initiatives that support our business strategy and goals
• To identify appropriate project stakeholders and to develop and maintain their engagement at all stages of the requirements process through effective communication and involvement
• To monitor and track progress against planned deliverables, ensuring stakeholders and project sponsors are kept fully informed of project developments at all times
• To ensure the translation of requirements to key stakeholders to facilitate the successful implementation of the project
• Ensure that the quality controls are in place to so that the activities relating to requirements are planned and performed correctly

The right sort of commercial knowledge and experience includes:

• Demonstrable evidence of gathering requirements, with experience in working with senior stakeholders in developing strategy, gathering requirements and translating requirements to key stakeholders (essential)
• Experience of developing requirements that span multi systems e.g. billing systems, debt recovery systems, telephony systems, web systems (essential)
• Qualifications and experience of using requirements gathering tools (essential)
• Proven work experience of undertaking sound business analysis and developing information into concise reports (essential)
• Practical experience of working a number of stakeholders crossing both business and IT work streams including 3rd party suppliers (essential)
• Experienced in using MS Office tools e.g. Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio (essential)
• Strong customer service orientation/or experience of working within the customer service industry (highly desirable)
• To show an aptitude for being able to learn and adapt quickly to the technical knowledge to be able to draft relevant project requirements so as to work as effectively with partners during a project (desirable)
• Degree or equivalent in business analysis practices and business process mapping
• Experience of working with Business process modelling, target operating model definition and process re-engineering
• Working knowledge in business processing models
