Hours: 7am - 4:30pm

Holiday: 20 days plus Bank Holidays

Salary: £28-35 per annum

Package: Basic salary plus bonus. Lunch is also provided for all office based employees.

Location: Bell Bar, Hertfordshire

One of our clients is a suppliers and installers of warm water underfloor heating systems up and down the country completing a variety projects from residential houses through to hospitals and schools. They proactive and forward thinking company that was established in 2003 and to this day still managed and run by family members today.

The Role:

You will be responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation or improvement of effective methods and strategies.

You will require experience in a similar role (preferably within the construction industry). Responsible for the purchasing of stock, product set-up, procurement of new products and services. You will play a vital role in ensuring that the day-to-day purchasing of the business run smoothly. You will have strong negotiation skills with good commercial and communication skills.

Job Description:

- Manage purchasing of stock
- To control the set-up of products on the ERP and relevant data
- Set up and review cost savings per month
- Oversee inventories, distribution of goods and facility layout
- Interact and liaise with team members, including interacting with Managers of different areas of the organisation, presenting findings and proposed solutions
- Monitor purchasing and stock levels
- Set up new suppliers, review existing suppliers and provide cost analysis while negotiating the best possible deals/rebates. This will include sub-contractors of the business

Key Role Requirements:

- Experience in this role or similar
- Construction market knowledge
- Full valid UK driving licence
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
- Strong Commercial awareness, numerical skills& budget handling
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and excellent time management capabilities
- Have good judgement and decision making skills

Preferred Requirements:

- Qualifying degree and/or a successful working experience in procurement
- Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives
- Have comprehensive knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, design, testing and implementation
- Knowledge of underfloor heating systems and a clear understanding of Building Regulations and other legal guidelines within the construction industry
- An understanding of the implications of Health & Safety requirements that might come from product and its applications
