Customer Service Desk Analyst- Ruddington

£16,000 to £18,000 plus Benefits

About the role

We have an opportunity for exceptional customer service professional to join us in a Customer Support / Service Desk Capacity, being the single point of contact for our Client DCC (Data Communication Company), providing advice, guidance and support. DCC manage the data and communications network to connect smart meters to the business systems of energy suppliers, network operators and other authorised service users of the network. This role is focussed on carefully following bespoke processes, so we are seeking applicants with good attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills and an aptitude for technical concepts. The role does not involve standard desktop or server support but will involve the use of bespoke diagnostic tools as they are developed. So it is more providing customer service. Full training will be given.

The role is based in Ruddington and we work various shifts between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday. 37.5 hours a week. We also ask you to work 1 weekend in 4 and you'll get time back in lieu for this.

What you will do:

- You'll deliver outstanding customer service standards by answering all queries promptly, remaining approachable, courteous and professional at all times.
- Proactively manage customers' expectations through either resolution or by updating them on progress of their outstanding incidents/requests.
- Respond to calls both on the telephone but also via email and ensure that all systems are kept up to date
- Ensure that all cases owned are resolved and that our customers are pleased with our service!

Your experience will include:

- Background in Service Desk, Customer Service and/or Service Management environments.
- Strong aptitude for technical concepts.
- Experience of working processes and call handling
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation.
- Uses own initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, written and verbal.
- Flexible to new technologies.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Very good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Smart and presentable.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Excellent timekeeper.
- Ideally have an understanding of ITIL and / or working knowledge of remedy
- Willing to undergo security checks if successful
