Cyber Security Business Analyst
This project designs and delivers advanced Analytics within the Cyber Security space (including Intelligence, Response and Attack Monitoring).

Role purpose:

- Capture and understand business requirements, helping users work them out and prioritise them meaningfully
- Capture and understand current business processes and architecture
- Capture and understand current systems architecture
- Turn raw requirements into coherent proposed business architecture and process. Postulate and draw up proposed system designs, both logical and (if you know the tech) physical and technical
- Facilitate and push users/stakeholders to understand and approve requirements, proposals, designs. Help them to understand implications for proposals on their business
- Create plans of systems actions to get proposals delivered, and communicate them to developers, data scientists, testers etc.
- Be a Business technology liaison lead in as many different skills/languages as possible, help people solve their problems, inspect code and manage in quality improvements
- Help develop cyber product strategy and analytics opportunities for detecting threats

Key Skills and Experience:

- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of complex information systems, cyber security concepts, cyber threats and market leading solutions
- Strong understanding of Business Analysis techniques (MoSCoW, 5 Whys, etc.)
- Experience of gathering requirements, ideally within User Test Strategy Development or UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
- Extensive experience of working in an Agile environment and comfortable in doing so
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Experienced in business process mapping
- Experience and familiarity with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
- Ability to quickly understand and adapt to a fast moving commercial environment
- Good understanding of the value proposition that comes with technical product such as Splunk, ArcSight.
- Strong understanding of the threat landscape combine with problem solving skills to define counter-threat measures
- Experience in the following domains: cyber threat management, vulnerability management, access management, malware protection, ethical hacking and penetration testing
- Practical knowledge in applying information security standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and/or cyber security best practices (e.g. NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
- 3-5+ years of core business analysis mainly of Cyber requirements and systems mapping
- At least 3+ year experience in a cyber-related role e.g. Incident management, malware protection, ethical hacking, pen testing, Cyber threat management
- Strong experience in process mapping and system architecture knowledge
- Experience in Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
