Financial Analyst
AREAM is an established player in the renewable energy sector in Europe, having invested in renewable energy infrastructure since 2006. With a dedicated team of more than 20 professionals, AREAM operates from offices in London (UK) and Düsseldorf (Germany). Duties Maintain and develop network of contacts with the aim of originating opportunities for the group Assist in the initial screening of potential investment opportunities Identify inputs required to produce a financial model, research this information independently and engage with external advisors to gather all the information required Develop and maintain financial models to determine returns of investment opportunities and quantify effects of potential risks (cash flows, equity multiples, cash yields, IRR's, sensitivities etc.) Keep financial models up-to-date with changes in the tax and accounting rules and any other relevant changes Identify and assess opportunities to enhance returns (tax efficient structures and capital structures, re-financing, contracts renegotiation etc.) Prepare draft investment memorandums and generally assist with the internal approvals process Undertake relevant industry & market research and peer/competitor analyses to facilitate market-related decisions Provide support with activities during the execution of projects (e.g. due diligence, negotiations etc.) Contribute to any reports required by lender(s) according to financing agreement(s) Provide support with the valuation of existing investments for reporting purposes Assist with the preparation of marketing materials and presentations, and Perform any other duties relevant to the group's business that may be required from time to time. Location The position will be based in London with occasional travel, mainly within Europe, required. Qualifications Top academic qualification in a numerate degree 1-4 years' work experience in the infrastructure space Strong analytical skills Outstanding working knowledge of Excel Robust financial modelling skills Ability to read and interpret financial statements and extract relevant data to feed into financial model for valuation purposes Basic understanding of renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind and hydro) Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently and under limited supervision Ability to engage with different counterparts at different seniority levels Ability to deliver punctual reports, and Fluent business English and Italian is essential, knowledge of other European languages is beneficial. Salary Base salary commensurate with experience (£40-50k p.a.) plus an annual discretionary bonus.
