Inorganic/ICP MS Analyst

Location: Newmarket, Suffolk, Cambridge, Chippenham
Type: FTC - 12 month (Fixed Term Contract) - potential to go permanent for the right applicant
Hours: Days, Mon - Friday
Salary: Competitive + highly competitive holiday package

Our Client is a Leading UK Testing Company who looking to recruit an experienced Inorganic /ICP Analyst who will work at their purpose built complex as a vital part of the Inorganic Team. Reporting to the Divisional Manager the Inorganic Analyst will:

The Role

- Conducting ICP Analysis inline with UKAS accreditations and the QMS
- Executing troubleshooting techniques and routine maintenance on ICP Instrumentation
- Completing sample analysis within the designated KPI`s
- Adhere to Health and Safety policies and accreditations at all times
- Reporting of analytical data and entry onto the internal systems

The Person

- Will hold a Degree in a relevant Scientific discipline or have sufficient ICP experience to counter this, with the combination of a Higher Level Qualification (A Level etc)
- Will have significant ICP MS or ICP OES experience in an industrial Lab setting
- Be able to perform routine troubleshooting, calibration and on occasions equipment maintenance (lens clean etc)
- Will have a sound knowledge working with different methods, on a range of tests
- Will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work in a fast paced testing environment
