Java Developer - Client Financing Analytics - VP
Description
Team Profile:
Prime Brokerage, Funding & Finance Technology (PBFFT) provide technology solutions to Client Financing and Clearing businesses primarily covering Prime Brokerage, Firm-wide Funding and Liquidity Management covering Bank Resource Management and Treasury, and parts of Wealth Management.

The position of senior server side Java developer has become available within the London Client Financing Analytics team supporting the Prime Brokerage business unit. PB provides consolidated clearing, custody, financing, foreign exchange and portfolio reporting services to the most sophisticated limited partnerships, asset managers and institutions. The team develops proprietary systems to facilitate the financing of the client base by rehypothecation through to the management reporting of client performance. The role offers significant opportunities for exposure to the business.

Role Profile:
You will initially be responsible for the development and rollout of a new global revenue reporting system. You will be required to own the relationships and gather requirements from the business in addition to developing applications in Core Java. You will have experience of project planning and be comfortable communicating progress to business stakeholders. You will work in an Agile environment and should be comfortable with agile practices such as BDD and TDD. You will be expected to promote their use to the wider development group. You will work as part as a globally distributed team (London, New York, Mumbai) and therefore will be expected to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues in other regions. You will be self-motivated and innovative. Your role will also include some support and enhancements to other existing systems.

Qualifications
Required Skills:
Hands on experience with Java (including Java8) Design / SQL development (including DB2 UDB or Sybase) Linux / ksh Spring framework Agile development tools (JBehave / Junit / Mockito) Object Oriented Design and Development Good Problem solving and analytical skills Full software development lifecycle understanding Good communication and interpersonal skills
