Java Developer - Quantitative and Structured Products - Associate
Team Profile:Morgan Stanley is seeking a strong Java Developer to help build out ourQuantitative and Structured Products platforms.You will work closely with fellow Technologists, and our partners inSales and Trading, Strategists and Financial Engineering to design,build and support systems, and generally improve automation, performanceand time to market for technology changes for this major growth businessarea for the investment bank.You will work within a highly focused tech team in London, within aglobal technology department delivering for the main trading areas: NewYork, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo. Beyond the delivery for thefunctional aspects of the systems and business flows, candidates willalso have the opportunity to contribute to improving the technologyplatform and drive the system towards a more rapid and robustdevelopment and deployment model across the tech stack, to ultimatelyhelp the business sustain high volume and revenue growth. This is ahands-on role with the expectation to own a change or project all theway from design/inception to delivery in production.The local and the global team will support you in getting up to speedwith the relevant knowledge areas, business or otherwise, you will needand ultimately help you grow your career within an exciting technologygroup focused at helping the business stay market leaders for years to come.Qualifications:Required Skills: Experience in core Java knowledge in a UNIX/Linux environment. Track record of complete lifecycle management including design, coding and delivery. Track record working with and managing multiple dependencies across systems. Desired Skills: Experience in equity-linked products / derivatives is desirable but can be learnt within the team. Experience with Java/GC/Linux OS level debugging/performance tuning. kdb/q knowledge would also be an advantage but is not essential. Experience in testing automation. Interest and experience in metrics/analytics to take the understanding of the flows and pricing data to the next level with our businesses would also be a plus.
