Job Title: Management Information Analyst (MI Analyst)

Salary: £20,000 - £25,000

Location: Chichester

Job Purpose

The Analyst (MIA) will report directly to the Business Service Manager and will be the central point of contact for all manual and automated reporting requirements. The Analyst will ensure accurate and complete reporting of the administration tasks and activities. This will include developing, producing, automating, maintaining and administration of reporting suites.

* To provide an agreed suite of management reports at agreed frequencies with analysis and recommendations.
* Produce accurate detailed statistical reports in relation to all Dashboards, Performance Indicators (PI's) and Business Performance Indicators (BPI's) as directed by the Business Operations Managers within agreed contractual time frames.
* To proactively analyse real-time business impacts and unexpected changes to determine any detrimental effect on the business with a view to enhancing service delivery at all times.
* To support effective resource management by the provision of operational reports and analysis.
* To review and analyse data to make appropriate recommendations to the business for service improvement and cost reduction.
* Design, maintain and proactively improve all forecasting, scheduling and planning processes and procedures.
* To provide analysis and assist with 'what if' scenarios to support decision making related to targets and financial exposure
* To impact and assess all internal and client driven change. All change will be accurately modeled and agreed with the business prior to feedback.
* To carry out detailed analysis to measure the impact of any company/departmental initiatives.
* To support the Business Service Manager in the production of reports and analysis for specific project work.
* To respond in a timely manner to requests for ad-hoc management reports.
* To continuously improve systems and data handling to remove manual processes and streamline working practices to drive efficiency in team and within the business.
* To communicate complex issues to business users at all levels, to explain what reports and data mean in a way that can be understood by all.
* Adhere to all company security policies and procedures ensuring any breaches are escalated accordingly.
* Take responsibility for Health & Safety in the workplace, identifying and escalating any risks immediately
* To abide by all Building and Visitor Access Procedures
* Assist other business functions as appropriate.

Essential Skills

* Demonstrable skills in report production and presentation of data in a user friendly way.
* Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills, experience of macros and SQL.
* Excellent communication, organization and administration skills.
* Commercial awareness
* Knowledge of the concepts of data warehousing.
* Demonstrable skills in relational database design, report creation and SQL.
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to work under own initiative within a team based environment
* Clear, logical thinking.
* Ability to communicate technical details to a non-technical audience effectively
* Good understanding/experience of business management to improve profitability and turnover
* Ability to identify potential problems and resolve them efficiently.
* Decision making ability.
* Advanced PC literacy and well developed skills in a Windows environment.
* Understanding of the dynamics of a workforce management system.
* Problem solving abilities and a "can-do" attitude are essential.
* Strong analytical and forecasting ability.
* Ability to use a range of analytical tools
* Highly self-motivated and able to persevere when under pressure.
* Excellent team motivation and interaction skills. Willing to put the needs of others ahead of themselves.
* Approachable, supportive and willing to assist others.
