Product Change Analyst - Apex LM
What you will be doing:

* Processing changes through the company change management system.
* Delivering changes in an expedient manner and minimising stock obsolescence.
* Risk evaluation and initiating mitigation actions.
* Analysing requests to ensure that only changes that deliver value to the business are implemented.
* Communication of changes across the business.
* CAD & computer literacy.
* Work to industry and Engineering standards and practices.
* Team working/ good communications.
* Ability to work without supervision to agreed timescales and constraints.
* Ensure that company documentation is updated as and when necessary.
* Ability to work in a multi task environment.

What we expect from you:

Knowledge & Experience:


* Good detailed knowledge of a wide range of engineering.
* Liaison with internal and external suppliers.
* Understanding of required quality levels for this type of business.
* Ability to read Engineering drawings.
* Experience of Engineering change control documentation.


* Knowledge of applicable regulations & standards.
* Supervision of support engineers if and when allocated.
* Detailed knowledge of the design process behind a number of the manufacturing processes used.
* Solid Edge CAD & Teamcenter experience.
* Understanding geometric tolerances in mechanical components.
* Previous engineering experience including; Truck, Yellow Goods, or related product, chassis systems with similar product volumes and level of complexity.

Education, Training or Qualifications:


* Min qualification Degree in Mechanical Eng or the ability to demonstrate the same level of competence through a combination of other relevant qualifications, training and experience.
* Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in Engineering in a relevant industry.


* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
* Member of recognised engineering institution, e.g. IMechE.

* Ability to lead teams and drive issues through to completion.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks.


* Ability to blend engineering and industrial design methodologies.
* Demonstrable workload/project management skills.
* Training and coaching in Engineering disciplines.
* Well-developed problem solving techniques, 8D, A3.

Other requirements:


* Occasional overtime required.
* Service support/ off site visits.
* Occasional overseas travel.

CAD & Computer Literacy:

* Efficient use of Siemens Teamcenter PLM software package.
* Working knowledge of SOLID EDGE 2D / 3D.
* Working knowledge of ERP systems, EPICOR AVANTE or MICROSOFT DYNAMICS.
* Working knowledge of MICROSOFT OFFICE software package.
* Working knowledge of MICROSOFT PROJECT software package.

Work to industry and Engineering standards and practices:

* Droughting practices to BS308 / BS8888.
* Working knowledge of regulations, British Standards and codes of practice relevant to the equipment being designed.
* Adherence to Company Standards (ISO 9000)

Team working/ good communications:

* Able to communicate effectively with all levels within the company (written / verbal).
* Able to communicate effectively with external suppliers / customers.
* Demonstrable team skills as a member and a leader.
* Open, honest and timely reporting of tasks.
* Ability to mentor.

Ability to work without supervision to agreed timescales:

* Essential requirement to work without supervision to meet agreed deadlines in both team and individual activities.
* Ability to produce, maintain and control work breakdowns and timing programmes
* Ability to produce designs within agreed cost, weight and performance targets.
* Contribute/advise on relevant product testing activities.
