Senior Analyst - Quantitative Discipline

Senior Analyst - Quantitative / Maths / Statistics / VaR / Credit / Ratings / Asset Quality Review / Stress Testing

We\'re looking for a Senior Analyst to join a Financial Services client based in Newcastle. The company & team are well renown for providing high quality analytics to the Financial Services sector. Types of work include credit rating and provisioning model development, Model validation, Asset Quality Review, VaR modelling and Stress Testing.

The team\'s analysis involves both classic and cutting-edge techniques including big data and machine learning.

The role:

We are looking for talented, highly motivated Analysts for quantitatively intense financial services roles to join our client\'s project teams.

Required skills and experience

Previous experience in banking and financial institutions, with content in one or more of the following areas:

    • Credit risk measurement/modelling (IRB / IFRS-9)
    • Stress testing
    • Financial modelling
    • RWA calculations
    • Credit portfolio modelling
    • Derivative pricing
    • Fair value calculations
    • Asset Quality Reviews
    • Model validation
    • VaR Modelling
    • CVA / IRC modelling

In Addition:

  • Strong analysis, documentation, and communication skills
  • Can work effectively and collaboratively in a team
  • Excellent command of English language (verbal and written)
  • Ability to manage a heavy work volume and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain and respect confidentiality
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering)
  • Experience in using advanced analytics and data manipulation software such as SAS, R, SQL, SPSS, Python
