Supply Chain Analyst
Supply Chain Analyst - £27K - Axminster

My client in Axminster requires a highly analytical Supply Chain Analyst to join the team. The ideal candidate will be very analytically minded and good with numbers with the ability to view and extract data in order to ascertain trends.


- Responsible for the management and control of Inventory levels (3rd party & Intercompany) are in line with budgets while supporting overall business objectives.
- Routinely analyze and adjusts product line safety stock levels. Ensure that critical forecasting and inventory planning inputs and parameters are updated within business system.
- Collaborate with Sales, Product Managers Procurement teams and third party suppliers (UK & International) to manage product phase out/In activities ensuring minimal interruptions in supply chain, while reducing potential financial risk to bottom line profits.
- Analyze and report E&O to effectively reduce non/slow moving inventory to achieve agreed level.
- Achieve inventory turns target as set out and agreed.
- Actively organize and lead monthly/quarterly Sales & Operating planning meetings with heads of departments to review forecast, inventories and relevant performance data, and reinforce core competencies in order to maximize supply chain performance.
- Ensure Item master and cost price integrity is maintained through AS400 business system (product information, Cost prices and delivery Lead times).
- Develop & implement key processes to ensure compliance policies are met, drive productivity, and identify improvements (efficiency and costs) throughout the supply chain.
- Review and report on 3rd party logistics performances and costs to ensure agreed levels are achieved and improvements made.
- Lead and participate on continuous improvement projects and initiatives.
- Routinely inform and communicate with employee`s changes in procedures or policies arising from Inventory control, SOX or Trade compliance policy changes.
- Ensures SOX and trade compliance activities related to supply chain are performed correctly and on time.
- Develop analytical tools and reports in order to manage supply chain performance.
- Performs other related and assigned duties as necessary.

Knowledge and experience:

- Proven experience within inventory management role
- Strong decision-making and analytical skills
- Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS packages (specifically Excel and/or access)
- Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow through
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
